Veganism can seem daunting, tasteless and expensive but in reality, it can be just the opposite. Not only will you be improving your well being and mentality, but you’ll also save the planet by reducing your meat and dairy intake. You don’t have to go completely vegan, but if you want to make a positive impact on our home, this planet, we encourage you to adapt some days of veganism to reduce your carbon footprint on earth.
1. Veganism saves the world.
When you think about all the packaging our meat comes in, the transportation it takes to get meat from farm to table and the fumes that we transport in the air while we do it; you’ll realize that meat really puts a damper on our environment. Not only can your grow your own food when you become vegan, but you also reduce the amount of plastic you use by only purchasing vegetables.
Did you know that the main cause of deforestation is to make room for cattle grazing and growing feed for animals?
2. Veganism improves your health.
We’re not knocking vegetarians by any means; we say go for it!! Everything helps! But by being a vegetarian, it’s still easy to get away with incorporating unhealthy foods into your diet. On the other hand, when you become a vegan, you eliminate many unhealthy options from your diet, and it’s harder to get away with feeding yourself junk.
Many diseases are directly related to what we put into our bodies. Switching over to veganism can help reverse these ailments or prevent them from ever appearing.
3. Veganism saves animals from brutal treatment.
Any empathetic human being has a soft spot for animals, except for when they’re on our plates. Yes, they taste quite delicious, but have you ever seen the conditions that they must endure in order to get to your plate? It’s grotesque. They are harbored in jammed packed conditions with other animals, they are slaughter and killed without pain killers and they aren’t given the chance to live their full lives. On top of that, a lot of these animals have emotional intelligence and are separated from their young within in days of their birth. These animals physically show their mourning when they are separated.
